When Pfizer designed it’s over 2 million sqft facility in Ann Arbor, MI, it was decided that a large spacious cafeteria section was to have a three story open view of the surrounding landscape. Soon it became evident that glare and eye strain may become an overwhelming factor for the cafeteria’s visiting patrons. DEL Motorized Solutions, with the use of over 100 motorized shades, was able to design a system that with the touch of a button offered protection from harmful sun glare for all who visited this large venue.

Pfizer Incorporated is a pharmaceutical company, ranking number one in sales in the world. The company is based in New York City, with its research headquarters in Groton, Connecticut. It produces such pharmaceuticals as: Lipitor (atorvastatin, used to lower blood cholesterol); the neuropathic pain/fibromyalgia drug Lyrica (pregabalin); the oral antifungal medication Diflucan (fluconazole), the antibiotic Zithromax (azithromycin), Viagra (sildenafil), and the anti-inflammatory Celebrex (celecoxib) (also known as Celebra in some countries outside the USA and Canada, mainly in South America).
