Here at DEL we take pride in our ability to undergo such a wide variety of custom projects. So when Derecktor Shipyards, the United States' foremost leader in aluminum boat production and a worldwide leader in yacht and commercial construction, contacted us for help with one of their largest builds to date “Cakewalk”, we were excited. We were able to provide several varieties of 24VDC systems which were easily integrated with not only the ships automation control system, but its electrical power concerns as well.

At 281 (85.6m) feet and 2,950 tons, this Cakewalk surpasses her four predecessors in size and is the largest yacht built in the U.S. since the 1930s, and possibly the biggest ever built in the States when measured by volume.
